Fresh new backend and design for LivenearUSC
I recently had some time to completely redesign and reprogram LivenearUSC, a site I made make finding housing easier on students at the University of Southern California. I completely redesigned and reprogrammed the entire site from scratch to better suit the needs of students and property owners alike, and I'm excited to see how it does in the marketplace. The site is powered by the Yii PHP framework.
My latest project: liveNearUSC.com
As a student at the University of Southern California, it became apparant that the housing search process was too scattered and way too difficult. Trying to find an apartment near USC was a crapshoot, and finding a good price was next to impossible. Thus, a fellow student and I created LiveNearUSC.com, the easiest way to find a place to live near the USC campus in the downtown Los Angeles area.
We're also teaming up with many property owners in the area to bring special offers to our users in exchange for finders-fees from landlords in the area.
The site design comes from a heavily-modified ThemeForest template, and the backend code is completely custom written in PHP, MySQL, making use of Google APIs. All in all the site makes use of HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery), PHP, and MySQL
